What is this survey about?

The Cegos Group 2025 International Barometer is dedicated to Diversity & Inclusion in organisations — exploring how employees and HR professionals experience and evaluate D&I practices.

Conducted in April and May 2025, this survey gathered insights from 5,537 employees and 438 HR Directors and Managers. It was carried out across 10 countries in Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom), Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Chile), and Asia (Singapore).

Key findings: what you need to know

  • Top reasons for discrimination: Physical appearance (53%), age (48%), racism (45%), and socio-economic background (42%).
  • Impact on workplace climate: 1 in 3 employees believe discrimination damages team spirit; 9 out of 10 HR professionals agree, citing sexist remarks (53%) and racist behaviour (47%) as especially harmful.
  • Momentum for change: 81% of HR professionals want to continue or accelerate their organisation’s D&I policy, despite social or political trends.
