This programme explores the role and functioning of emotions, helping participants to understand, accept and regulate them more effectively.

Emotions play a central role in many aspects of our personal and professional lives, whether we are aware of it or not. This programme helps participants develop their emotional intelligence and acquire practical techniques for recognising, managing and regulating emotions effectively, both in themselves and in others.

1. Understanding the Role of Emotions

  • Explore the impact of emotions across different areas of daily and professional life, including learning, decision-making, creativity and change management.
  • Understand the concept of emotional intelligence and the range of emotional competencies available to us.
  • Identify the purpose of emotions and the risks associated with ineffective emotional management.

2. Understanding How Emotions Work

  • Understand how emotions work and recognise common emotional dysfunctions.
  • Identify the core emotions, expand your emotional vocabulary and develop a greater appreciation of emotional nuances.
  • Understand the link between triggers, emotions and needs.

3. Developing Strategies for Managing Emotions

  • Become familiar with the concept of emotional regulation.
  • Identify your dominant emotional style using the Six Dimensions of Emotional Style questionnaire.
  • Recognise and respond more effectively in emotionally charged situations.
  • Learn how to relax and discover the benefits of relaxation.

4. Using Emotions to Strengthen Relationships

  • Understand empathy through the lens of neuroscience.
  • Express your feelings appropriately and develop greater awareness of other people's emotions.
  • Practise the OFNR model (Observation, Feeling, Need and Request), drawn from Nonviolent Communication (NVC), to strengthen emotional competencies.
