This responsible procurement training enables participants to approach sustainable development as an opportunity rather than a constraint. It helps identify practical levers to reduce risks, lower costs, and create value: sourcing more energy-efficient resources, identifying eco-responsible products, selecting suppliers aligned with your sustainable development commitments… all key drivers for building a sustainable and inclusive procurement approach.

  • The role of the procurement function in this context.
  • Contribution to the carbon footprint.
2 – Responsible Procurement: Defining Commitments
  • Mapping CSR risks and understanding legal requirements.
  • CSRD: analysing procurement impacts to set priorities.
  • Assessing responsible procurement commitments in relation to stakeholders.
  • Defining a Products / Suppliers / Behaviours responsible approach.
  • Codes of conduct, labels, charters and ISO standards related to responsible procurement.
3 – Needs Definition and Analysis
  • Consultation with internal specifiers.
  • Needs analysis applied to responsible procurement.
  • Total cost comparison in line with ISO 20400.
  • The ISO 20400 life cycle approach.
4 – Reducing Societal and Ethical Risks
  • Identifying risks and impacts in relation to stakeholders.
  • Recognising ecolabels, certifications and other reference frameworks.
  • Defining a consistent level of social and environmental requirements.
  • Developing sustainable development–terms of reference.
5 – Assessing Supplier Commitment and Selection
