The “e-Learning Solutions by Cegos” and “Global Learning by Cegos” courses are gradually becoming established among the customers of the world leader for training. Thanks to these new methods, the turnover of the Cegos Group’s e-learning units has increased by 60% in just one year reaching 5 million euros. Pascal Debordes, Director of e-learning activities for the Cegos Group, explains: “It is now 10 years since we started providing e-learning training for our customers. However we owed it to ourselves to launch learning packages for blended training or fully on-line courses in an effort to provide a better response to the needs of the market and democratise e-learning. That is just what we did at the start of the year and the first results give us reason to be optimistic about what is to come, even in the current climate."
More than 150 “e-learning Solutions by Cegos” are currently available in most European languages (French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian) and in Mandarin. Soon modules will be offered in Korean and Japanese as well.
Cegos will be at the Online Educa event (from 3 to 5 December in Berlin). Pascal Debordes will be taking part in the debate about “Development of training internationally” and will refer to the benefits of e-learning and blended in this context. He will be joined by: Pascale Biver, European Commissioner for Education Dr Robert Pearson (Maritz) and Tammy Gillis (RIM), Carin Martell (Giunti Labs) and Dr Alan Bruce (Universal Learning Systems). This conference will take place on Thursday 4 December 2008 from 11 :45 to 13 :00 hrs.
Online Educa is the biggest international event for on-line education with more than 2000 attendees from more than 95 countries. It brings together high level decision-makers who are architects of the future of this sector: teaching and corporate professionals and administrators meeting once a year in Berlin.
