International expansion and commitment: 1992-2010 

1992

Acquisition of Corom, a consulting firm specializing in skills management. Beginning of assignments in Eastern Europe, in particular Romania followed by Slovenia.

 

1994

Cegos is one of the first French consulting and training organisations to obtain ISO 9001 certification for its training business.
Idet-Cegos becomes Cegos SA with a board of directors: Yves Cannac, chairman, Jacques Coquerel, Pierre Leboulleux, and Jacques Simorre.

 

 

   

1995

Cegos' first Eastern European office opens: Cegos-Kft in Hungary.
Cegos invests in multimedia: the first virtual recruitment forum on CD-ROM then on Internet; multimedia teaching database "Formator", "visio-training courses" or distance learning via videoconferencing.

 

1997

ISO 9001 accreditation is extended to Cegos' consulting and recruitment businesses. Eastern European expansion is boosted by the takeover of Gradua, leader in continuous training in the Czech Republic.
The 1993 partnership agreement with Cognos, Germany's training leader, results in the creation of a jointly-owned subsidiary.
Takeover of Fielden House in England.
Cegos China opens in Shanghai.
Working with ESF Cegos publishes its collection of practical handbooks.
Creates a "Global Business Management" diploma in partnership with the University of Paris-Dauphine.

 

1998

Cegos launches the "Golden Intranets" award, with Entreprise & Carrières.

 

1999

Cegos, Accelerating Success: the slogan is accompanied by rhetorical guidelines entitled "The Words to Express Cegos", and a new graphic style guide. A new logo, more representative of its activities, is launched for all French and foreign subsidiaries.
With the acquisition of a share in IB Formation (leader in certified IT training and the largest training center certified by Microsoft France), Cegos becomes the leader in the information technology training market.
Cegos expands into Poland.

 

   

2000

Partnership with Masa to develop a management simulator.
First "Management & Skills Trophies" award presentation organised by Cegos, the magazine Enjeux-Les Echos and BFM radio.

 

 

2001

Programmes blending e-learning and classroom sessions – a new methodology developed by Cegos – are introduced in selected open courses and the roll out of major training programmes.
Creation of a DESS (higher learning diploma) in "Skills Management in Organisations" with the University of Marne-la-Vallée, and the "e-Management Observatory" with the University of Paris-Dauphine.
A new collection is launched with Liaisons Sociales publications; its focus is the result of work carried out by Cegos R&D and work on the futurology of management, human resources and training.

 

 

2002

Cegos reinforces its activities in Germany under the brand name Cegos.
Partnership with the "Planète Urgence" Association  through which Cegos employees can join a humanitarian mission during their paid vacation with financial support from Cegos.

 

2003 

The European Commission selects Cegos to train its top management.
The international network further expands with a new Cegos office in Switzerland.
Cegos becomes Franklin Covey’s sole partner in France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

 

2004

Partnership with MDI-Alger Business School to develop consulting and management training activities in Algeria.
Death of Octave Gélinier, one of the founders and builders of Cegos which he headed for more than 40 years.
Cegos joins the Global Compact, a United Nations initiative to foster responsible and sustainable development.

 

2006

A new LMBO shareholding structure is put in place and is now held by the Group’s managers and employees.
Cegos signs the Diversity Charter.

 

2007

Partnership between Cegos and Supélec for the creation of a new Master related with the new markets of Energy.

 

2008

Cegos launches Global Learning by Cegos®, the first blended training solutions fully integrated, and et e-Learning Solutions by Cegos®, a collection of 250 off-the-shelf e-Learning solutions. Those products can be roll out internationally and locally adapted.

 

2009

Cegos distributes its solutions in the Arabic and Latin markets through alliances with UKS (Dubai) and Seminarium (Chile).

The Cegos Group partner of Editions ENI, leader in on-line office skills training

 

2010  

Cornerstone Ondemand to distribute Cegos Group’s off-the-shelf e-Learning modules and course bundles in Germany, Spain, France, Great Britain, Italy and the United States

Cegos launches its training solutions in the Dutch market with Vergouwen Overduin
