Environment

Cegos is redoubling its initiatives aimed at limiting its impact on the environment. Here are some telling examples.

    Cleaner company cars

Since 1 April 2008 the criteria for choosing Cegos company cars have more respect for the environment. In 2009 97% of vehicle emissions did not exceed 160 g of CO2 per km.

    Reduction in consumption of paper

Thanks to actions to bring awareness to employees the consumption of paper was reduced by 30% between 2006 and 2010.

Setting up a Green IT approach

Our IT teams have set up new processes to make technologies greener:

    • reduction of 50% in consumption of electricity (by replacing servers with virtualised solutions, implementation of data consolidation, renewing the stocks of equipment with Eco label constraints, etc.),
    • safeguarding ecological commitments (by limiting printouts and launching dematerialisation processes, imposing rules on our suppliers, monitoring recycling of equipment, making people aware of the polluting waste from CITs etc.),
    • reducing the amount of CO2 emissions by more than 50% (setting up solutions to reduce movements of employees etc).
