The Cegos Observatory

Reading new signs, benchmarking, keeping ahead of the game.

Areas of intervention of the Cegos Observatory

The Observatory produces tailored studies with companies covering four major fields:

  • studies of social climate, stress audits, accompanying change, practices and perceptions of managers.
  • client satisfaction: internal and external both regarding the behavioural part (sales, listening to clients etc.) and procedures, rules and the nature of services rendered, perceptions regarding products delivered.
  • benchmarking : organisational and by major function (HR, Accountability and Finance, Overheads etc.)
  • The assessment of training: questionnaires on prerequisites, validation of learning, behavioural skills, certification process.

Frames of reference and soundings

These allow us to study the major key functions quantitatively and qualitatively and identify the important issues for the company.

Frames of reference allow the company to be benchmarked and to be inspired by the best market practices.

Examples: Overheads Function, HR Function, Accounting and Finance Function.

Soundings define the priorities of directors of large function areas in the company. They offer a snapshot of priorities at a time T and over a period of 3 years.

Examples: sounding of Sales Directors, Marketing Directors, Financial Directors etc.

Forward-looking studies

These have regard to major economic, current, social issues, always associated with the corporate world. They are media-intensive: more than 400 articles each year use the results of Cegos’s forward- looking studies. Among the studies recently carried out: training methods in Europe, social climate in French companies, policies on management remuneration, the generation Y at work, women and work etc.
